Love the rain , but in pain..

Heelloozzz everbody,

Its been so long ,i havent posted anything. Its not like I had nothing to say,but I had so much going on that was thinking what to tell you and what not to.

Today I am going to share something which I am quite sure  happens only on India.

By my post I am not trying to hurt anybodies feeling or to insult India. Its my country and I love it.

So today was a really exciting day. After weeks of burning in heat ,we had RAIN. Yes, it was so beautiful. Around 4 pm it started getting stormy, it was so nice and pleasant.

Before I could go and enjoy the weather on my swing in my front courtyard , so much of dust started blowing all around but I was still happy thinking atleast there's no sun and it might rain unlike my mum she wad so irritated because  she will have to clean the entries house and we had a lot of clothes drying out.

Anyways so it started raining soo heavily.. It was so cool and fresh.
I love the smell of wet mud, so we ( mum and me ) sat on our jhula( swing) in between plants.

And then , that thing happened which always happens when it rains. If you are from India them I sure you guessed it right.
Yes, POWER FALIER
Around 5 pm  power failed. Electricity department people always do this, may be they want us to switch off our A.C 's , come out and enjoy.
We were quit chilled out about it and kept doing what we were doing.
1 hour passed, then second hour but no electricity. By the it rained only for about 20 -30 minutes.
We started getting worried and switched of everything in the house to save inverter.
My brother who came back from his exam and told us that a lot of trees in the area have fallen  down and all the electrical wires have broken down.
Now, we do not know what will happen.
I drove to the place where all this happened and saw three giant tress on ground ,a wall broken because of tress, electric pole fallen and god knows how many wires.

Its 10.30 pm , now we three are on swing with mosquitos, ordered food and  thinking what to do.
On the top of it I am fasting.

People are saying same thing happened at several places and now electricity will come tomorrow. :(
We are going to use are left over inverter but I no , its not going to last the entire night.

Hope electricity comes at night, I really need to sleep.

Had this happened with any of you???
If yes please tell me what do you do when there no electricity..,

  2. No electricity is just so annoying but at least it doesn't happen too frequently here. I especially miss the internet during power failure. I hope it is all back soon.

  15. There is nothing better than rain after it has been hot, I love it in the summer when it's a hot day, then starts raining and that smell off the pavement it creates, lovely!

I cry without electricity! Ha, it doesn't happen here often. It's horrible though because all the alarms start going off when it goes off, then again when it comes back on. When I was younger I used to love it though because I had a weird obsession with living in the 'olden days' and reading books by candle light =)

Hope you have it back now!

Thanks for the comment, I followed you on GFC =)
